SAFETY IS OUR JOB SITE PRIORITY

The safety of our employees and subcontractors working on our projects is of the highest priority, a way of life, and a point of pride. Konover Construction (KCC) is renowned for the caliber of our safety programs and our reputation for maintaining safe job sites.

In February 2008, the federal and State of Connecticut Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) organizations invited KCC to participate in a formal Training Alliance program. The program is designed to foster safer and healthier workplaces in America through ongoing training and education. This is a significant honor for our firm and we are actively working with OSHA to make our industry a safer place to work.

Our safety-training programs have won numerous Platinum Safety Training & Evaluation Process Awards - the top industry award - from the National Association of Builders & Contractors (ABC).

National insurance underwriter Liberty Mutual recognized our "Commendable Safety Performance" at our St. Mary's College of Maryland project, and gave us its Silver Award for a lost time rate on all Konover Construction projects that is 60% below the national average.

Our aggressive safety program extends to our subcontractors as well. We require written safety programs from every subcontractor on every project, and actively train and educate our subcontractors in developing their own safety programs and maintaining job site safety.
