Stores Operate Through Construction in Popular
Ridgefield, CT Shopping Mall
FARMINGTON, CT– November 9, 2003
– Konover Construction Corporation recently completed
an 18-month project for the Copps Hill Plaza in Ridgefield,
Connecticut. The company served as general contractor for
the $6.1 million project, which included demolition of the
original Copps Hills Plaza, major site work, and the construction
of several new buildings. The first 11,000 square-foot building
was completed in October 2002 for the original Copps Hill
tenants – Blockbuster, Radio Shack, Ridegfield Liquor,
and Venice pizza. This month, Konover Construction finished
a 10,000 square-foot Eckerd Drugstore and a 2,500 square-foot
building, which will be occupied by SuperCuts and other
retailers.
“We coordinated our work schedule so all the existing
businesses in the plaza could remain open with minimal disruption
during each phase of construction,” said Mike Kolakowski,
president and CEO of Konover Construction. “Now that
the project is finished, the plaza is much better designed
to accommodate shoppers in this popular retail area.”
