Company Completes New Warehouse Club Store in
Derby
Farmington, Conn. – February 4, 2004 –
The Division Street and North Division Street intersection
of Derby, Conn. is home to a new BJs Wholesale Club store
and adjacent BJs gas station. Konover Construction Corporation
served as general contractor for the construction of the
80,000 square-foot store, and performed all site work for
the stand-alone store and gas station. The $4.7 million
project was complete in October.
“This new BJs store and gas station required extensive
site work before we could begin the building structure and
floor slab work,” explained Michael Kolakowski, president
and CEO of Konover Construction. “However, we were
able to keep on schedule so BJs could open as planned and
begin serving customers in this thriving commercial area.”
Regionally located in Farmington, Connecticut, and Columbia,
Maryland, Konover Construction Corporation is a $270 million,
full-service, single-source commercial construction company
that has served the Mid-Atlantic and Eastern U.S. for nearly

on retail centers. Engineering News-Record magazine ranks
